Job description

In this role, there is a broad scope of responsibilities with primary focus on internal finance related topics. The financial administrator will work closely with the (Jr.) Financial Controller and Senior Financial Controller (= direct report) and must show a wide variety of financial and financial related activities. The financial administrator has good analytical and technical finance skills, is change driven and brings a well-balanced personality with drive, energy and sense of humor. The financial administrator is people oriented and shares the belief that the employees of Betty Blocks make the success of the company. 

Tasks and responsibilities

Below is a list of (possible) tasks and responsibilities, but not limited to. In consultation with the (Sr.) Financial Controller, the tasks can change and be optimized over time when needed.

 

Accounts Payable

  • Performing and maintaining correct invoice registration/administration, incl. master data

  • Maintaining up-to-date payable contract management registry in Certinia

  • Providing (cost) overviews in spreadsheets of specific costs, such as SaaS tooling and other costs (as gatekeeper to make sure all incoming invoices are based on signed contracts and agreements made)

  • Credit card administration and optimizations.

 

Bank & Cash Management

  • (Daily) booking of bank statements and matching with creditors & debtors

  • Preparing (batch) payments and outstanding payable management

  • Supporting periodic cash analysis & planning

 

General Ledger Administration

  • Calculating and booking of reservations if/when invoices are delayed

  • Performing monthly checks on outstanding balance positions/reservations made

  • Supporting Month & Year End closing process(es)

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • 2 years of experience in a business oriented finance role in an international, fast growing setting. Experience in a tech environment is a plus

  • You are available for 32 hours a week

  • Completed Bachelor degree in Economics/Business Administration/Finance

  • Organizational agility, especially in an informal company culture

  • Entrepreneurial, curious, energetic personality

  • Decisive and goal oriented team player

  • You speak and write both English and Dutch
