Job description
Who are we?
We see ourselves as a driven, energetic and hardworking group of friends, who are passionate about what we do: Making application development as easy as riding a bicycle. Our no-code platform enables organizations around the world to create applications that solve the problems they currently face in their unique situations. We are proud to be the world's first no-code platform for Citizen Development. Our goal is that everyone can build an application. 'How can we make building easier' is the foundation of everything we do. Our headquarters is based in a beautiful Google-like office building in Alkmaar near the city center and very close to Alkmaar station.
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a crucial, proactive role for our long-term customers—those managing multiple applications or strategic accounts. These customers often encounter technical challenges over time, and the TAM will guide them effectively and intelligently. The role emphasizes scalability, architecture, and strategic planning for key accounts, ensuring customers feel thoroughly supported.
Technical Guidance for Key Accounts
Focus on scalable architecture and future-proof solutions.
Provide strategic advice on topics such as load testing, performance optimization, and system enhancements based on monitoring data.
Support architectural decision-making for customer applications.
Roadmap Development and Legacy Support
Work with customers to develop a technical roadmap, including plans for phasing out legacy systems and adopting Betty Blocks.
Address the impact of the product roadmap on the customers application landscape and provide guidance for seamless transitions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a bridge between customers and the Product team, managing and advocating for Product Feature Requests (PFRs) that align with customer needs.
Actively coordinate with Product, Support, and Customer Success teams to align on strategic objectives and ensure cohesive execution.
Provide insights that bridge technical expertise with customer needs.
Workshops and Strategic Guidance
Lead technical workshops to educate and empower customers on best practices (one to many events).
Serve as a trusted technical advisor for strategic decision-making around architecture and system evolution.
What This Role Is Not
It’s important to clarify that the TAM is not:
A trainer or consultant providing generic solutions.
A support extension, solving ad hoc technical issues.
Instead, the TAM focuses on strategic technical guidance, ensuring sustainable and scalable outcomes for customers.
As this is a new position, initial responsibilities will include defining processes, creating templates, and shaping the function's scope. Transparency and adaptability will be key as the role develops.
